ALL ABOUT ALOE - The Miracle Plant


Aloe Vera is a plant belonging to the lily family and has been in use by mankind for thousands of years. There are over 200 varieties of Aloe available throughout the world, of which Aloe Barbadensis Miller is considered to be g the most potent and useful. The most important part is the aloe gel, which is extracted from the leaves of the plant. The leaves must preferably be about 3 years old for it to attain peak nutritional properties. The Aloe plant thrives in warm and dry climates.


The plant is called ‘Kumari’ in Sanskrit, which means a maiden or young woman.
